绿(Green) is Pool of Light's second album on Pyramid Blood Recordings
The eternal river flows, shimmering and deep through the gently swaying and tangled labyrinth of green,
its immaterial undercurrents running parallel to the sublime and empty voids of the cosmos.
绿(Green) sees Pool of Light further developing and evolving his palette of sounds by more extensively incorporating synthesizers and field recordings, while also employing experimental techniques and cinematic orchestral approaches, both meticulous and raw.
While these tracks do not have a specific conception or background, they evoke inner moods and atmospheres in a more abstract fashion.
虚(Empty) was recorded in 2018 for Unline's label compilation, ISHI

have yet to translate the song titles so the artist's intentions are somewhat of a mystery to me, but the wavering surface noise creates the theme of a dialogue between music & technology before becoming invisible to my ears. this conjures memories of listening to music as a child (long before the sterility of digital media), when i rarely took notice of the hiss & pops of records, 8-tracks, tapes, & am radio because they were a normal, necessary aspect of recorded sound. nice to be back again.
