L'envol des oiseaux, la cime des montagnes, le réveil de la nature et même les ombres qui se transforment en silhouettes blanches : jusqu'ici, les albums de 光淵 (Pool of Light) donnaient un accès à une lumière pure. 淵 (Abyss) change donc la donne avec une direction diamétralement opposée. Cependant, il s'agit moins d'une chute dans les ténèbres que d'une introspection dans les tréfonds de soi-même : c'est un parcours initiatique parfois angoissant mais nécessaire. Et c'est toujours poétique.
